Booking a place in one of our workshop Classes
If you wish to book a place at one of our classes, you may do so via the online booking form on our website at www.theoutrageouscakecompany.co.uk You will receive an email confirmation once payment is completed.

Payment
Payment can be made on line, by phoneing or contacting us on 01473 786687. We can also take credit card or debit card payments. You may also purchase a gift voucher for any of our classes.

Refund Policy
Once you have reserved your place and made payment, we do not offer a refund if you cannot attend. Deposits are also non-refundable.
Our classes can book up fairly quickly, so unless you can send someone else in your place, please make sure you can attend when you make the booking.
Our classes have a maximum of 6 spaces, the reason we cannot offer a refund is we are a small business, with teachers and assistants to pay, pulling out of a class a few hours, days or even weeks before the class date leaves us in a difficult position as we are unlikely to be able to re-sell your space.
So please - when you book - make sure you can attend!
If we have to cancel the class we will offer you an alternative date or transfer to an other workshop . If for any reason we cannot reschedule that class we will offer you a refund in full to the value of the class you paid for.

Installments
If you make payment in installments, please note that discounts and offers do not apply. The remaining amount can be paid in further installments or all in one go, but must be paid no later than 14 days before the date of the class you reserved a space in. If this payment is not received two weeks before the date, we reserve the right to re-open the space for sale and you will lose your deposit.

Seasonal Classes
We sometimes run classes for seasonal events, such as Valentine, Halloween and Christmas. Because these classes will only run for a short time, or be a one off class, booking a place on such a class is non refundable.

Classes
We have taken every care to ensure the descriptions and photographs on our website accurately represent the quality of our work, and what you can expect from each class.

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers can currently be purchased for any value. Payment can be made via credit card or debit card. Your voucher will be emailed once your payment has cleared.
Gift vouchers have a years lifeespan from the date issued, these are non refundable, but we are happy for you to transfer them to another person.
Purchasing a gift voucher does not guarantee the recipient a place in any of our classes. The recipient must contact us to confirm the class they wish to attend, we can then check to ensure there are spaces available on their chosen date. Our classes have a maximum of 6 persons per class

Video and photography
We may occasionally video the class, and take photos of the cakes produced by class members. If you do not wish to appear in such promotional material, please let us know!

Copyright of our cake designs
During each class we will teach a number of skills that you can apply to our own cakes after the class. You are free to use any of our designs on your cakes. However, if you intend to run a cake decorating class, you may not use the designs that you learn during one of our workshops. If you run classes, or intend to teach in the future, then you may not use any of The Outrageous Cake Company's materials such as instructional leaflets, class format, photographs, videos, teaching technique or notes for your own classes.

Information we store
Please refer to our Privacy Policy. We do not store your payment details. This is handled by the merchant services and is guaranteed secure.

Timescales

We will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate your order however we work to a maximum number of cakes per week and will not compromise quality through greed. Usually 3 months’ notice for wedding cakes and 2 weeks for celebration cakes is sufficient. We will endeavour to accommodate a shorter notice but this cannot always be guaranteed.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee

Should you be unhappy with the cake we will do everything we can to rectify the matter before the event. If you are still unsatisfied then we will refund the price of cake in return for the product. If there is a design problem the cake is to be photographed and e-mailed within 48 hours of the cake being collected or delivered. Situations where the cake is eaten, and therefore not returned, vouchers may be offered. If you have a complaint about the taste of the cake then a sample is to be provided within 24 hours.

Any cake ordered from a picture or photo of a cake produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by The Outrageous Cake Company as our interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact reproduction of the cake in the picture or photo.

Check Your Order

While we take every measure possible to check orders it is also the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form are accurate. While we will do everything we can to rectify the situation when an error is made i.e. wrong date then the responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.

Deposits & Payments

Once the order is placed the deposit (£50 for wedding and 25% the total balance off all other celebration cakes) is non-transferable and non-refundable. The order is confirmed on receipt of the deposit and no guarantees can be given on availability until the deposit has been paid. Balances for wedding cakes are due 14 days before the wedding and for novelty cakes 7 days before the event. Cancelled orders with less than 14 days’ notice are payable in full.

Delivery

When a cake is to be delivered it remains the responsibility of the company while in transit. Where any damage occurs then it is the sole responsibility of the company to make good any damage. If this is not possible, for whatever reason, then a full refund will be given.

Collection

As you will appreciate that once the cake leaves the studio then responsibility then passes to the customer and the company is not liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit.

If you are unsure ask a member of staff.

Best Before Dates

When preparing some cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be in prep for two sometimes three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates are usually within two days of the event. To assist in prolonging the shelf life the cakes are best placed in a sealed container (this will damage a sugarpaste finish) in the fridge. We do not accept liability for consumption from two days following the event.

Non-Edible Decorations

During the design process the customer will be informed of any non-edible decoration that will be used to construct the cake. The customer must relay this information to the venue / hosts.
